6 way Battle Royal for the Chelsea Piers Playoffs

The playoff race has start with a BANG at Chelsea Piers Co-Ed League. With 6 teams fighting for playoff hopes still alive. The favorite to hold there spot is Sky Rink, they would need some very bad luck and lose there next 2 games. If they win 2 games straight they could take 2nd from FC Viola (the team with no loses until the SiLo came along and beat them 12-8). The biggest thing to look at is the 4th place spot open which is being hunted down by THE FINEST FC, SiLo, Do it for the Kids, Arsenal GSE, and Soul Crushers. Granted Soul Crushers need alot of luck on there side cause they need the other teams to lose next week or tie and they need to win for them to keep there hope alive and well. THE FINEST FC the young blood team entered the League in week 3 and went on a 2 game losing streak to only get 3 new players to change the whole team around and make it the power house it is today. They currently hold the 4th place spot on Goal Difference and Head to Head. Right now the young team has there own faith in there hands all they have to do is win and there in. The next game at 10pm will be a good one not just between the teams but the supporters.

THE FINEST FC and FC Viola will be the game to watch mainly because both teams have a fan base and the rivalry between the former teammates. Raul Niall Kamil Joe and Maria were once part of a team called Pier Pressure which was founded in 2008 and then in 2009 gone due to the fact Joe and Maria stole the players off of it and made the Rising Stars and left the main stars of Pier Pressure behind. The Rising Stars lost every game that season. But then the Joe and Maria went off again and made there own team based on only Italian players now today at FC Viola. So this is gunna be a dirty game not only because of the bad blood but FC Viola likes to take out major weapons on the field. THE FINEST better be careful and protect there Spainish or there gunna be in trouble down the road.

So a lot of must wins out there this week at Chelsea Piers. The stands now sit at this:

Name Win-Loses-Ties Points
  1. Danglers 8-2-0 24
  2. FC Viola 7-1-2 23
  3. Sky Rink 6-3-1 19

2010 MLS season might not happen :v[

On the ongoing collective bargaining negotiations between Major League Soccer and the MLS Players Union today; the league's proposal last week has the players threatening to strike if it is not improved considerably.

The league has rejected the players push for guaranteed contracts, as well as an elimination of club option clauses currently included in MLS contracts. The former is mentioned regularly as a focus of the players, though it runs counter to most player contracts around the world, while the former is viewed by the players as being in violation of FIFA regulations.

Though the league has proposed a salary cap increase, the players have labelled it a "joke". The cap would increase in single-digit percentage increments in the league's proposal, a disappointing response that seems ridiculous in light of successes gained in recent years.

Workers compensation is another sticky issue, with the league pushing to recoup expenses paid for player injuries if that player receives a workers comp award.

As frustrating as this news is, and as ridiculous as a players strike sounds, remember that negotiations are still in the game-of-chicken phase. I harbored worries that the league would over play their hand, and push for restrictive and overly-restrictive financial terms, fears today's update has done nothing to ease. The union is maintaining that a strike is in play partly because many of the league's players can simply find jobs with equal pay; the minuscule salaries paid on the low end of the MLS scale give them a "nothing to lose" attitude.

A strike would be catastrophic to top-flight professional soccer in the United States, and both sides need to keep that in mind. The current CBA expires January 31st; I expect them to get much closer over the course of the next two and half months, but there will likely be one or two issues that will determine if an agreement is reached before that deadline. Let's hope the owners and the union can reach common ground.

All I got to say is if I have to wait another year to see this damn Red Bull Arena I'm gunna blow a fucking small town up in France and blame then for the lose of the MLS 2010 season

The Start of 2010

This new year has been nothing but great not one bad/boring day. Right after the ball dropped me and Robert played Madden and I went 3-1 for the day. Then we went to Vic's and played the ring of death(which sucked) and Kings which was awesome!!!!!! I also got hit in the head with a medicine ball, which hurt. You can have a lucky guess who threw it..... Robert. Then when the day started I went to my Dads to hangout with my sister and him we had Xmas then cuz we didn't get to have Xmas right cause the Father was sick. So we exchanged gifts and stuff and me and my sister played some Wii. We're gonna save the Princess Peach!!!! lol Then I hung out with my girlfriend and some peeps.

Then came 1/2/10 which was Joan's party and omg sooo much fun. We got drunk some got tipsy and Kamil picked up a black girl... Robert was mad lol. There was also a fight at the Pool Hall nothing new though. But that dude got knocked the FUCK OUT!!!!! Me and Melissa were hanging out the whole night with Kamil, Robert, and Amanda.

The next day came around it was me, Kamil. and Robert at first in Manhattan. I finally spent my gift car(d) lol. I hated carrying that thing. Then we searched for Robert stupid Blackberry case. Never did find it. But we did find green face paint for the Jets game that was hours away.

So we got home to go get ready for the game me and Robert painted are faces and it was epic.
We all got layered up to watch the Gang Green take up those bitches in orange. We met up with our other fellow Jet heads Mike, Jimmy, and Andrew. We made our way to the game and we we're going all out crazy when it was game time we split up me and Kamil went to sec 135 while the other guys went to sec 338. Then the game started. We had our towels going and the Jets were MERKING!!!!!! There was an Bengals fan and he had a Chad Johnson jersey on and he threw it so we all grabbed it and threw it around and ripped it in pieces. He came back to us asking for his shirt and we looked at him like "you really think you're getting it back?" There was this Lady too. She asked "Can you guys keep it down I'm trying to watch this game." We all looked at each other and we all got louder and started banging on chairs and made her leave the section. So the game was pretty much set in stone that we won so me and Kamil made our way to sec 338 and we found the other guys and we noticed it was completely distorted, seats missing and all fucked up. So the game ended and it was 37-0 and we had to take a group picture:

Then I took part of the stadium with me thanks to my boy G Head. So yes 2010 has started very good, I can't wait for the rest of the year. Maybe Jets Superbowl?!?!?!?!

The ups and downs when the USA is in the World Cup

The World Cup is around the corner, and the USA has it's best draw in years. Everyone is like "Oh no not England" honestly who gives a fuck that they won the world cup in 1966. That was like so long ago and yet they talk about it that it has happened last world cup. Sorry "Lads" it wasn't last world cup. Yea, our record against them isn't the greatest, but they have only went head to head against this team once at it ended I think 2-1. I also think that was 2-3 years ago. I'm pretty sure the English D can't hold our very fast Strikers. So lets go USA.

Now the part I kinda hate about the World Cup. Every time the USA goes and does well, MLS always takes a major hit. Meaning if there is a lot of MLS players on the National team(which there is) they go to the Europe and play. Which I guess is good for the national team, but not good for MLS cause the league won't grow popular with crap players. I honestly don't see Landon Donovan still in MLS after 2 years. Which would be a great loss. But it would be a great for his career. So yes the world cup is a scouting tool for the USA players
